A Chinese cargo ship was headed toward the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge in New York Harbor when it lost power, stopping just before any collision took place, with the help of escort tug boats that dragged the ship to a stop. This incident took place nearly two weeks after the Baltimore Key Bridge disaster.
