It seems I'm getting some really heated comments on X, which I don't use, about my business mask policy. For the record, this is the position I must take, being in California.

Regarding our NO MASK policy as posted on our website and front door, please note:

Due to the California State Governments lax and lawless policies on theft and violent crime, Sacramento is witnessing the same retail violence as Los Angeles and San Francisco. We now have police security monitoring trailers in every local grocery store parking lot. There is a serious security threat and we must protect ourselves and your valuable instruments while in our care.

If you have a medical condition that you feel requires you wear a mask in public, please consider having a friend or family member bring in your instrument with either a written note of instructions or we can do a phone consultation.

For our security and fairness there is no wavering on this policy. If that is an issue there are many other excellent guitar shops in Northern California which may accommodate your needs.

Any angry or hate messages left on our answer machine or email will be deleted, or if violent in nature, will be reported to the authorities.

We have the right to protect defend ourselves against the dangerous policies of this state in any way we see fit.
