Financial term of the day: Washington consensus. I am surprised that I had not heard of this before. I guess progressives these days malign it as "neoliberalism."
The term dates back to 1989, and the man who coined Washington consensus, John Williamson, distilled it into 10 policy prescriptions. All make sense to me and remain relevant. In some ways, Javier Milei is fighting to enact such reforms right now in Argentina, as he should!
