I was one of the only people crazy enough to be out yesterday morning before dawn in our record setting cold temperatures. It was -12F when I woke up and it got down to -15F just after dawn. I headed into town to pickup the barrels of grain that had already half frozen overnight. The sheep were super happy to have the warm grain in the core of the barrels to stand in as it steamed around them.

The 1 mile race got canceled due to the extreme temps, which I get as the course volunteers would be the ones most at risk since they wouldn't be moving like the runners. We will still get our shirts and our entry fee will roll over to next year, so all good in the end. The boys were really upset though so I put on Who Framed Roger Rabbit for them to watch for the first time and it did the trick.

It made it up to 0F by the evening so grilling wasn't quite as bad as it could have been. The Kraken played and have managed the franchise longest win streak now at 9 games. They are only 3 years old but still good to see them finding their winning legs.
