On "mass deportations," I'm sure others have thought of this but: What about a 30 day offering to let illegal immigrants raise their hand and agree to deport or be deported voluntarily in exchange for the chance to be placed in a limited annual lottery of the group, alongside those legally waiting in line, to enter properly. If they do that, they get a chance at a spot and aren't barred from legal entry in the future. However, those who don't voluntarily step up get a permanent ban. What do you think?
