> He was against turning America into a “polyglot boarding house” for the world.
> He said “There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism.”
> He denounced any man “who calls himself an American citizen and who yet shows by his actions that he is primarily the citizen of a foreign land” as playing a “thoroughly mischievous part in the life of our body politic.”
> And he was one of the original “Send them back” bros, saying of hyphenated Americans that: “He has no place here; and the sooner he returns to the land to which he feels his real heart-allegiance, the better it will be for every good American."
This is just an observation, but I feel like Candace Owens getting dropped by the Daily Wire should probably win an award as the most significant red-pilling event of 2024.
A year ago, I remember discussing the Israel/Hamas feud with my brother from church. He had seen right through the Russia/Ukraine neocon narrative, but it was pretty evident that we didn't see eye to eye when it came to Israel. He was regurgitating quite a few mainstream talking points, and though he was not a dispensationalist, he still had quite a few soft spots for the Israelis.
Fast-forward a year, and his opinion has almost completely flipped, largely due to Candace Owens. He was appalled by the widespread and baseless accusations of*"anti-Semitism,"* and now he's digging into the Postwar Consensus and talking about Holodomor. This latest spat by Canon sent him over the edge.
2024 has been quite a year in my book. I never would have guessed that my friend would have gotten this far this fast.
