​The Sørmarkfjellet wind farm in Norway has problems again. On March 15, 2025, a turbine blade partially detached and fell to the ground. Inspection revealed additional damage to another blade on the same turbine. There is no current timeline for repairs to that unit either.

The same wind farm experienced multiple turbine blade failures since its operation began in 2021. In late January 2025, a turbine was damaged during a storm and remains non-operational. With an installed capacity of 130MW, it produces around 440GWh of electricity annually, enough to power the average demand of approximately 29,300 households.
