"A 19 year old student was walking home at 5am, in #Rotterdam, on Feb 27, 2026. She was seized from behind by someone and threatened with a knife. She managed to escape but he caught up with her and subjected her to a violent assault and rape. Her screams alerted a resident who came out to see what the commotion was about and rescued her. A 23 year old #Moroccan asylum seeker has been arrested and charged. He was staying at an asylum reception centre nearby. He is from what the #EU considers a safe country and is called a “safe lander” = someone who has applied for asylum but because they are from a safe country are highly unlikely to get it. That poor girl has paid the price for this ridiculous asylum rule.
