"Masked officers without identification smash my door because of favorite number and journalism crime. This morning at 0947, as I was on my way to the bathroom, I first heard one loud bang. Then I looked through the peephole and saw a group of black-clad and masked men (masks and dark sunglasses) heading up the stairs. They immediately began hammering on the apartment door with a battering ram without at any point ringing the bell or identifying themselves. Shortly after, they were inside the apartment (this is roughly where the video starts) and they promptly put me in handcuffs. Almost all 8-10 officers were wearing masks and dark glasses - clearly masking that is most likely illegal. They could not produce any identification and would not say what I was suspected of. "That would compromise it." The apartment's surveillance was then removed by the officers for "security reasons." Shortly after, I was driven to #Bellahoj Police Station, while the apartment was turned upside down. There I was photographed, fingerprinted, and DNA swabbed - despite the police already having it all on file. Only at the very end (around 4 PM) was I informed of what I was suspected of: having the wrong favorite number and attempting to interview the prime minister about the dismantling of Danes' privacy through a ban on encryption and permanent PET surveillance of all Danes. I was released at 1640 and made my way home on foot. I consider the arrest itself illegal. One may not arrest for interrogation purposes - that follows from #Section750 of the #AdministrationofJusticeAct. They already have fingerprints, photo, and DNA - and the case has absolutely nothing to do with physical evidence. It is also highly doubtful whether the completely unannounced smashing of the door has lived up to the proportionality principle in #Danish law. I simply have a hard time seeing how some online posts can justify it. The evidence is the posts - not anything in the apartment. It feels more like pure punishment without professional basis. I am also quite sure that the police forced access to my girlfriend's phone and through that deleted the majority of the recorded video. Because it took a couple of minutes before they took down the cameras (and took them with them(!)). Why the video below, as the only one, was not deleted, I do not know. I am doing well, but am a bit shocked by the police's completely disproportionate and brutal conduct." https://archive.is/rP1wa "Police go directly for the circuit breaker panel to avoid being filmed This post will be in English, because there apparently is a lot of interest in what happened to me yesterday. I'm a libertarian danish privacy activist and former police officer and I have been doing activism for about 15 years. I have had a bit of time to think about my arrest and the actions of the masked police that broke down my door - with no prior warning. The prefece to the story is, that I in a kind of roundabout and (I think) humorous way published "my two favorite numbers" by spelling out a 10 diget and a 8 diget number with letters. I didn't tell what they ment, but they where prime minister Mette #Frederiksen's social security and phone number. I also published a screenshot of me trying to interview Mette Frederiksen on what app, asking her about her wanting to ban encryption (#CSA) and introducing mass surveillance via granting the police intelligence services access to all sorts of information (medical journals, social media posts, DNA registers ment for research and so on). That resulted in me being arrested by armed and masked police breaking down my door without me having any chance of opening it for them. When the two civilian dressed masked men entered the apparentment one of them immediately went for the circuit breaker panel to shut off the power to my router. They then removed my #Google Nest cameras - because they knew that the cameras contains local storage. That way they could avoid having video of the (in my view) illegal arrest. Only the few moments before the power is cut was filmed. There is video of me asking them for the charges - and them refusing to tell me (which is illegal). But I can't access it, because they took the cameras. I'm not even sure if that is legal. In #Denmark it is (nominally) totally legal to film the police. That way it is possible to know what happened and it's not just your word against there's. Denmark and the West are moving in the wrong direction, and it makes me sad." https://archive.is/faZHY #Denmark #corrupt #corruption #fascism #coverup #corruptpolice #corruptjudge #corruptjustice #terrorism #domesticterrorism
