NO ONE knows the day or hour so HE taught us to be ready at anytime, that means live as if HE's return & YOUR divine appointment before the BEMA Seat could happen in the next minute. As much as unbelievers convince themselves that "Grace" is a license to do whatever you want (your flesh) on the contrary, like when your parents left you & your siblings at home alone, you better behave because you gave an account when they returned. How much more when Jesus returns for us? Live as if HE's returning sometime today OR HE's calling you home today, works both ways.
