I've heard quite a few folks speak of a death of a loved one "it caught us by surprise, we didn't expect it this soon." That would fit the last part of this verse. Not knowing the day or hour of our own death is another motivation for the believer to be about the Father's business down here. Too much "gaming" going on nowadays. Life is serious business & we're warned there's a test at the end of it, but first, you have to be registered into the class by the ONLY Registrant- Jesus. Call out to Him to save you, believe & have your name written in the Lamb's Book of Life, take that first step on your journey into eternity with Jesus before it's too late, before your time here on earth ends.
