Ann Frank's "diary" was written with a ballpoint pen, but they weren't commercially available until after her death. Anne's father, Otto Frank, was forced (by the Supreme Court of the State of New York) to pay Meyer Levin $50,000 for his part in writing "the diary of Anne Frank".
