This video highlights some stark parallels between the false arguments used circa 1998 in Venezuela by socialist candidate Hugo Chavez for a 27th Venezuelan Constitutional Assembly, which sadly revised the Venezuelan Constitution to facilitate Hugo Chavez' eventual dictatorship, and the false arguments used currently in America by Convention of States for a 2nd U. S. Constitutional Convention, which would almost certainly prove equally counterproductive. As I've written before in various ways... Since 1789, Americans have slowly-but-surely apostatized from the U. S. Constitution, and elected public officers accordingly at all levels. A proposed Convention of States would entrust many of those same politicians who already defy the Constitution (despite having sworn to uphold it) with the task of revising it; as such, they would almost certainly do more to scrap it than to perfect it. But we don't need it perfected as much as we need it heeded, and heeding it depends upon the insistence of enough voters. And our fellow voters won't insist upon such Constitutional fidelity unless/until we (through both education and activism) revive the spirit of freedom in their hearts-and-minds, such that they sufficiently renew their fidelity to all that's best in America's exemplary political heritage of rightful liberty under Constitutional law. To the extent that we the people are set right, our politicians and their policies will naturally tend to follow. While we're slowly-but-surely reviving the spirit of liberty among our fellow citizens, let's please favor Article VI not to Article V in impeding our public officers from their routinely defiance of our federal Constitution---or, more specifically, let's please lobby our state officers to rescind any active calls for a "Con Con," and let's lobby them to instead nullify any unconstitutional federal laws; however, let's also insist that any such interposition involve both collaboration and consensus (as America's wise virtuous founders advised us) lest such nullification counterproductively leads to anarchy.
