This New American video features the relaunch of Oath Keepers. Oath Keepers was founded in 2009. It routinely encourages public officers that, whenever they are given a choice between either obeying unlawful orders or else obeying their solemn oath-of-office to support the U.S. Constitution, they should obey their sworn oath to Constitution by defying unlawful orders. It also provides security to citizens threatened by Antifa, and assists citizens who are suffering from natural disasters. Its adversaries have characterized it as a far-right extremist conspiracy-believing seditious anti-government militia that seeks violent confrontations with America's government, for which they targeted it for destruction in late 2020, destroying its website, purging it from social-media, and soon thereafter prosecuting its founder plus some others for their involvement in the J6 protest.
