The Case for Christ (2017) is a fantastic movie conveying the true story of how, circa 1980, then-atheistic Chicago Tribune reporter Lee Strobel set-out seeking evidence to build a persuasive case that Christianity was false but instead found it to be true beyond a reasonable doubt. As I've testified before... "There's more to this world than meets the [physical] eye"---there's a spiritual aspect also, and overwhelming evidence for it, as long as we don't misinterpret this evidence by explaining-it-away as something that it's not. God is as real as we are, and the gospel of Jesus Christ is true. As we tentatively believe in such religious truths to practice rightly according to them, including by making-and-keeping covenants with God, we will invariably see evidence that our faith was placed correctly, which we may freely choose to either accept or reject. Accepting such evidence for what it truly is will grow both our belief in what's true and our resulting motivation to do what's right, which will qualify us for ever-greater evidence that we are on the right path. As we proceed patiently along this faith-and-works spiral, which is enabled by the Savior's grace, He will not only both save us from our sins and enable us to live righteously instead, but our heavenly gift of faith in Him (and in His gospel) will mature gradually into a perfect knowledge. I know these truths not only from my own studies of Christian doctrine but also from my own firsthand experience. As I was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I grew increasingly confident that, if there was any true Church on the Earth, then it must be ours. But this testimony, although strong, proved inadequate as I trained for full-time missionary service, such that I began to feel-and-think that, if I were going to spend two years testifying to people about such truths, then I needed to know their truthfulness even more surely than I already did. And so, I began to sincerely hunger both to know what's true about such vital matters and to do what's right accordingly---even if this course meant abandoning my mission. Amidst these thoughts-and-feelings, God lovingly prompted me to kneel beside my bed in humble sincere prayer to ask Him certain vital basic questions, which He answered in one of the most amazing experiences that I've ever enjoyed. Through crystal-clear personal revelation directly from the Holy Spirit, I now KNOW (at least as surely as I know that I exist) that God exists, that He can answer my prayers, that Jesus Christ is the Savior, that Joseph Smith Jr is among His prophets, that The Book of Mormon is among His scriptures, and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is His restored true church. In this same supernal manner, I've since learned some additional truths that pertain either to family or to politics. God has answered many of my other humble sincere faithful prayers, as well, although far more mundanely. But, whether commonplace assurances or rare epiphanies, these cherished experiences have helped to sustain me through many difficult years. And this testimony has aided my ongoing conversion to Jesus Christ. If you want to know about the truth of such vital matters, as well, then please keep yourself humble always, tentatively trust in God, choose to exercise your faith to live righteously, and then patiently await the inevitable evidence that you chose correctly---and let this evidence develop into proof in God's own due time as you increasingly qualify for it by progressing along this covenant path. This is the Way for the Savior to cleanse you from your wrongdoing, to heal you from its damage to your spirit, to rescue you from its innate long-term consequences of misery, to enjoy genuine peace-and-happiness, and to bring you back into the presence of Him and your loving Heavenly Father, hopefully forever. You might never communicate with God face-to-face during mortality as Moses did, but God nevertheless rewards those who diligently seek Him---and He is the source (whether directly or indirectly) of everything good through His beloved Son Jesus Christ. And everything testifies of God to those who choose to "listen" to reality properly. P.S.
