Although we, like other nations, benefit from maintaining a strong military to defend ourselves as a necessary last resort from proportional international aggression, it's never in our best interest to maintain a vast bloated warfare state that seeks to enforce United Nations resolutions, defend all nations from all other nations, engage in endless post-war occupations, reengineer foreign societies, choose foreign heads-of-state, et cetera. Such a warfare state defends people's equal God-given (or natural) rights less than it violates them, is unconstitutional in spirit by maintaining standing armies during peacetime against the wishes of America's Founders, and is too-often terribly counterproductive, including by being burdensomely expensive on American taxpayers. U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth recently proposed that Congress increase annual U.S. military spending from $1 trillion by 50% to $1.5 trillion dollars, as Dr Ron Paul notes in this Weekly Report, thereby transferring wealth from American citizens to the military-industrial complex and its crony corporatist war-profiteers at a time when American citizens are already severely burdened by unusually-rapid Fed-induced monetary inflation. Let's please keep our brave soldiers focused not on remaking the world but on genuine national defense only! https://rumble.com/v79psi2-weekly-report-a-1.5-trillion-military-budget-is-a-gift-to-the-grifters.html #NationalDefense #Interventionism #Imperialism #WarfareState #MilitaryIndustrialComplex #WarProfiteers #Corporatism #AffordabilityCrisis
