It seems to me that the "Deep State" has gradually come to dominate the ranks of both major U.S. political parties such that, regardless of which party prevails during U.S. elections, their conspiracy usually wins and (as such) may continue unabated with its incremental long-term agenda of establishing an oppressive political New World Order, while their agents serving in public office mostly play-fight each other, not about overall direction but about trivial details, much like professor Carroll Quigley advocated in his book Tragedy & Hope.
