This TED talk warns about increasing surveillance technology on the Internet, through cellphones, within automobiles, et cetera, used not merely by the state but especially by businesses that sell our data to people including the state (without a warrant), including Auomated License Plate Readers (ALPRs), which have already been provably abused by U.S. law-enforcement officers in stalking, in tracking people for other non-criminal reasons, in monitoring participants in protests, et cetera---and how such warrantless mass-surveillance threatens our free speech, our free association, our popular sovereignty, et cetera, but can be effectively opposed through persistently scrutinizing our government (including its contracts with corporations) while lobbying our public officers for needed improvements until they relent. Let's please thwart "Big Brother"! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZX5nTV8lwr0 #USConstitution #FourthAmendment #Privacy #Surveillance #SurveillanceState #BigBrother #InformationAge #Technology
