This Learn Liberty video considers how socialistic opposition to libertarian policies arises less from either ignorance or disbelief about how such policies help economies to thrive, but more from how these dispersed benefits to the general welfare are necessarily accompanied by concentrated detriments to special interests who no longer enjoy coercive redistribution in their favor. It can be hard for people who have grown dependent on government expenditures, such as bureaucratic jobs or subsidized businesses or welfare "entitlements," to need to find/change careers and perhaps to seek voluntary welfare instead.
