This new Fraser Institute study examines how a typical Canadian family of four will spend over $21,000 this year on socialized medicine, whose costs have long risen faster than income, food, and shelter. I would add that this is for care that is decent for preventative purposes, but highly-rationed for catastrophic care, which results in many Canadians dying while waiting in line for treatment, although not celebrities as much because they typically get to cut in line.
