A trick with wording: Notice these words throughout Scripture, like #Evil and #Wicked. They are words which are confined to one far end of the spectrum. They have no range of meaning. Now look at the term #Bad and #Selfish. These have an intact range of meaning. A full spectrum that still includes both White Lies as well as the darkest sins of human nature. The terms used in the original Hebrew, are correctly translated as Bad, Selfish, Destructive, etc. But by the Romans taking over the ‘Church’ and the later Anglo-Saxons controlling their own branch, new words were coined, given definitions without semantic range and then used to replaced the original words with none being the wiser. This use of ‘dark end of the spectrum’ terms, created a ‘grey area’ for everyone to play in. The original contexts spoke of, ‘doing nothing selfish or bad’ in one’s life’. But the Churches manipulatively gave us words that gave us loopholes & excuses to not apply what we do into these warnings & commands of Scripture You see, if we do something selfish and then read a verse about not doing wicked ..we can then claim our selfishness does not fall under that verse. We claim to be doing the lesser of two evils We claim that ‘gray’ is not ‘black’ and in doing so, fail to confess our sins even to ourselves, let alone to Yahweh But by extracting our perceived ‘lesser’ sin, we also take it down from the cross. Like saying we don’t need to be forgiven for it, because it doesn’t fall under ‘that verse’. We claim that there is no need to #Relent and have no need for Christ to forgive us ..as we can claim to still be righteous. But such righteousness in nothing other than #SelfRighteousness
