Grandma Minnie's Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies *"This recipe makes a great sugar cookie. When I took the cookies out of the oven, I sprinkled the cookie with colored sugar decoration. Super scrumptious in the end!" —Allrecipes member Andre Varner* 3 c. sifted all-purpose flour 1½ tsp. baking powder ½ tsp. salt 1 c. white sugar 1 c. butter 1 egg, lightly beaten 3 T. heavy cream 1 tsp. vanilla extract Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) . Sift flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a large bowl until combined. Cut butter into flour mixture with two knives or a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs, about 2 min. Stir in egg, cream, and vanilla until dough comes together and forms a soft ball, about 1 min. Chill dough for 30 min., if desired, to make rolling easier. Recipe Tip: Chill dough for 30 min., if desired, to make rolling easier. Roll dough on a floured surface to 1/8-inch thickness. Sprinkle lightly with sugar. Cut into desired shapes using cookie cutters. Transfer cookies to ungreased baking sheets, spacing 1 inch apart. Bake in the preheated oven until edges are lightly golden, about 6 to 8 min. Cool cookies briefly on the pan for 2 min., then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. #Cookies! #Grandma #SugarCookies#OldFashionedSugarCookies https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/19145/grandma-minnies-old-fashioned-sugar-cookies/
