Death Trains – According to extensive “testimonies” by Jan Karski, he alleged that Jews were packed like sardines into cattle cars whose flooring was lined with quicklime, a chemical compound supposedly capable of both melting flesh off of their bones and gassing them to death. (Quicklime can cause severe skin and lung irritation, along with blindness if it gets into one’s eyes. However, it is not strong enough to dissolve flesh.) These Jews were tortured by this and other corrosive substances such as chlorine as they were taken to Belzec to be gassed or fried in electrocution chambers. Later retellings by Karski quickly revealed that he had never been to the Belzec camp nor had he seen the so-called “death trains” that he supposedly saw. Most of his “knowledge” came from hearsay, which is completely useless in a courtroom that isn’t rigged in favor of the Jews. Various inconsistent details in his “testimonies” and an interview with Claude Lanzmann, the director behind the “documentary” film Shoah, were very abundant. In other words, he made the whole thing up.
