South Wairarapa, NZ This (last) weekend. Flood-damage, washes away the Bridge ABUTMENTS, leaving the Bridge Structure somewhat intact, midstream. Obviously the existing abutments need to be (ideally) replaced with additional Bridge-spans, and NEW abutments formed, further apart !
