Live free or die Pain, suffering and struggle are a universal part of the human condition. No one escapes. They are a fundamental part of who we are as individuals. If you want to be closer to someone, an attempt to understand an individual's experience with those things will be critical. Privilege on the other hand is rooted in jealousy. Discussion of it results in division and hate. That is the real reason for it being central to the leftist ideology; hate.
