I suspect fraud by Amazon. This book is unpublished (Out of Print). Yet Amazon would permit me to order 100 copies at a substantially higher price. Book offered at $27.99 is now $43.43 and has an old ISBN which was the one Amazon gave me for when I first published the book. Later on I bought an ISBN from Bowker. The page count is also wrong. The current edition that I have on my desk is only 290 pages which is between 5 and 10 pages longer than the first upload. Only two copies of this book sold retail. One was purchased by a friend and had a different cover. The other was purchased retail by yours truly. Because I can get it faster. Author's copies are held back by about three weeks. Retail sales ship almost immediately. So I bought a copy retail, corrected it, then dumpstered it. One copy was gifted to the Library of Congress, one was gifted to Megyn Kelly, and one was gifted to Perseus Project. Megyn Kelly's edition has the new ISBN. Gift copies don't show up in the statistics, only retail purchases do. So where does 100 copies of this book come from? Somehow the supply chain maxes out at 148 copies. How is Amazon selling books that I unpublished? Don't buy these books they are not the revised over and over again copies. I purchased authors copies and revised this book at least five times. My revisions were all dumpstered. If you buy these copies I will not be paid a royalty either. I tried to order 1,000 copies, but the checkout page reverted to 148. So that's the maximum Amazon is willing to fulfill retail. But if I want authors proof editions I can only order 5. It also has the old ad copy from the back of the book, but has the new cover. Riddle me this? #News #US #Books #Publishing #KDP #Amazon #Fraud
