It was revealed today how Luigi Mangione was able to discover Brian Thompson's location. After numerous emails to UnitedHealthcare about his insurance coverage and health problems and no responses, he discovered an Investor meeting was taking place near his place of residence, with no disclosed location. So he contacted them posing as an investor stating he had Billions in assets, and they responded, giving him the location of the investor meeting *within an hour*. He spent a day after the meeting stalking Brian Thompson. Didn't even vet him, just as soon as they thought he had money they jumped. United has been declining even more claims than before. Greed, those people never change. I'm not gonna act like Mangione should be off the hook, I'm not of that mindset, but what I absolutely detest is the people acting like there is nothing unethical about these companies or that our healthcare system doesn't need serious reform. That Brian Thompson and his executives, who denied thousands upon thousands of health insurance claims leaving people to suffer like rats and die like dogs, somehow "didn't have it coming" to be hunted down and shot in the street. That, what they're doing is just "good business" because it's legal. As if their internal philosophy is something along the lines of: "Ethics are for poor people! If you get rich you can do whatever you want as long as there's a legal loophole for it and you have the money to bribe your way out of it! Ethics are for the POOR to abide by!" That's disgusting. That kind of thought process, that kind of ethos is exactly what is going to produce thousands more "Luigis" when the poor have their spirits broken, get desperate, abandoned, and realize they have nothing to lose, unlike all these corrupt, rich bureaucrats, politicians and investors. That the only reason these people get away with it and are safe is because the poor abide by the law.
