Young woman holding a St George's Cross? Seized. Arrested. "Makes people uncomfortable". Veterans trying to march? Blocked. "Not in a designated area". Patriots on lamp posts? Told to take it down. Fast forward 24 hours. London. Pakistani flags on every lamppost, every car, every building. Roads shut. Celebrations in Trafalgar Square. Not a single officer in sight. The Home Secretary calls Union Jack carriers "white males who divide the country". Bad people. The Mayor blocks streets to celebrate Pakistan Independence Day. So let me get this straight. The St George's Cross is divisive. The Union Jack causes trouble. But every other flag under the sun gets police protection and council approval. They’ll close Oxford Street for Ashura. They’ll light up Westminster Abbey for Pakistan Day. They’ll cheer football fans getting dispersal orders. But your own national symbol? That’s now treated like hate speech. If flying the British flag in Britain is offensive, what does that say about Britain? #UKPolitics #unitedkingdom
