The WAR intensifies.... #Morning Briefing for July 2, 2026 ▪️ The Russian Armed Forces delivered a mass strike on Kyiv (https://t.me/warhistoryalconafter/275246) overnight using air and sea-based missile weapons, as well as strike UAVs, including reactive ones, which hampered the enemy's air defense operations. The city is experiencing fires and destruction. What is concerning is that Zelensky once again publicly warned in advance about the impending strike, and notably, Kyiv gas stations were conspicuously closed ahead of the attack. Strikes also hit Zaporizhia, Kharkiv and Pavlohrad. ▪️ Over the Leningrad Region overnight, 7 enemy UAVs were shot down. Another 5 were intercepted en route to Moscow. In Crimea, the power supply situation is again deteriorating due to airstrikes; regional authorities reported blackouts in Feodosia and Armyansk, and repair work in Saky. More than 25 drones were shot down in the Rostov Region. ▪️ In the Sumy direction, assault units of the North Group of Forces continue firefights in Bachivsk and surrounding areas in the Shostka District. In Sumy District – fighting in Pisarivka, Mariyno, in the village of Nova Sech, and the settlement of Khoten. In Krasnopillia District, firefights continue in forest areas. Residents of Sumy Region are complaining on social media that after the intensification of Russian Armed Forces strikes, most apartment buildings have had no electricity since June 30. Many homes also lack water supply. ▪️ In Rylsk in Kursk Region – 6 wounded from AFU strikes. Last night, AFU UAVs also scattered explosive devices on two squares in Rylsk; while attempting to defuse the warhead, an OMON bomb disposal technician of the Russian National Guard was killed, and a police officer was wounded. ▪️ In the Kharkiv direction, assault units of the North Group of Forces continue offensive operations in the settlement of Kazachya Lopan and adjacent forest areas. In the Volchansk sector, fighting continues in the area of Losivka village cemetery and in Zemlyanoy Yar. The settlement of Ukrayinske in Volchansk District has been freed. In the Velykobourluk sector, our assault groups continue firefights in the village of Petro-Ivanovka and in the surrounding area, as well as in forest areas near the villages of Budarky and Zemlyanky. ▪️ In Belgorod Region, a drone struck a private house in the village of Malakeyevo, killing a man and wounding his wife. On the outskirts of Zenino village, a fighter from the Orlan unit was injured. In Borisovka, a man and woman sustained shrapnel wounds from an FPV drone detonation. A man hospitalized after sustaining barotrauma from an FPV drone attack on special equipment in Shebekino. In Volokonivka, an FPV drone detonated at an enterprise, wounding a man. A number of settlements are under enemy fire. ▪️ In the Kupiansk direction, reports indicate the repulsion of an AFU counterattack using armored vehicles. South of Kupiansk-Uzlove, footage demonstrates the presence of our small assault groups advancing into urban areas. The front line is being straightened out in the area of Podoly settlement. ▪️ Fighting continues for Krasny Liman and surrounding areas. The Russian Ministry of Defense is tallying the houses occupied by our assault units. ▪️ Fighting continues in the northern part of Kostyantynivka, with the Russian Armed Forces conducting heavy offensive operations. ▪️ Fighting is underway on the eastern outskirts of Dobropillia.
