It is deeply disheartening and outrageous to see that those standing up against extreme cruelty are the ones being targeted and detained. These brave Chinese animal advocates traveled there simply to demand justice for #WangWang, yet local authorities chose to silence the protectors instead of shutting down the abusers and the torture rings. When peaceful citizens protesting animal torture are treated like criminals, it sends a dangerous message that cruelty is tolerated while compassion is penalized. Protecting abusers while confiscating anti-abuse stickers is an absolute failure of justice.
