#SanFrancisco Host to outta town guests this weekend, and played tour guide, today. They insisted we use a car; big mistake. Still: had fun. Cute to watch the sea lions getting scraps from the fisherman at Fisherman’s Wharf. Completely delighted to see the horrible, brutalist Villancourt Fountain near the Ferry Building being torn down. As I’ve been wont to remark, “It looks like a large and untidy beast had a series of disappointing bowel movements.“ Took decades, but finally gone.
