The lesson begins with a brief review of the qualifications for a true prophet and a summation that Muhammad does not meet the biblical qualifications for a prophet (though Muslim scholars suggest he is the successor of Jesus Christ, John the Baptist, and all other major Old Testament prophets). Muhammad also fails the moral test for a prophet of God. If Muhammad were God’s last and greatest prophet, his life should reflect moral superiority, but it does not.
