🇭🇷 In late spring of 2000, I had a port visit in Split, courtesy of the US #Navy. It was wonderful. Think southern California but with #OldWorld architecture and #EthnicEuropeans. The #Dalmatian Coast is full of islands, if you like island hopping. ⛵️The exchange rate was great. You could buy a large meal with drinks for about $5. The locals were very friendly. They encouraged us to attend university in Croatia, lol 😄. I hope the Croatians have been able to maintain their ethnic identity with everything going on in Europe.
