Ingrid Rimland (Zundel) 1936-2017 Ingrid was born in an isolated, tight-knit German Mennonite community in Russia 🇷🇺 (modern Ukraine 🇺🇦). German Mennonites had enjoyed the benevolent protection of the Russian Czars since the decree of Catherine the Great in 1786. They prospered and the Russians around them prospered. All of that changed with the (((Bolshevik))) Revolution of 1917. Mennonite villages were plundered. Mennonite land was confiscated. Ingrid was born during the famine of the Holodomor. Her father was shipped to the gulags. The situation improved greatly when the German Wehrmacht arrived. Ingrid described the German soldiers as perfect gentlemen. The German government provided Mennonites safe passage to Germany 🇩🇪. Unfortunately while Ingrid's family was living in Germany, the (((Red Army))) arrived. They raped and pillaged everywhere they went. Ingrid's mother managed to get the family to West Germany, but didn't want to stay for the post war "denazification", a program she hated. They escaped again to rural Paraguay. Ingrid later moved to Canada then America. She wrote several books, including a series called *Lebensraum*. She married "holocaust denier" Ernst Zundel.
