🎣Truckee River, part 2, Lower & Pyramid Lake🎣 The Truckee delivers fresh water to the neon world of Reno, Nevada 🎰. Then it continues toward the desert 🏜. Some is diverted at Fernley for large farming operations. The rest enters the Paiute Indian reservation and Pyramid Lake. Pyramid Lake is an endorheic basin. It has no outlet to the sea. "Ladder fishing at Nevada's Pyramid Lake involves standing on specialized elevated ladders in the shallows to target giant Lahontan cutthroat trout. It allows anglers to clear breaking waves, keep back-casts high, and easily reach drop-offs where fish cruise to feed, all while staying out of the freezing water." #flyfishing #Nevada #PyramidLake #GreatBasin #troutfishing #Truckee #Lahontan
