Rescue workers in Laos successfully evacuated four villagers trapped in a flooded cave for 10 days, with two men still missing. The villagers had entered the cave to search for valuable minerals and were caught by flash flooding. One villager escaped and alerted the authorities. The water level receded enough for rescue divers, who had been delivering food and water, to assist the trapped individuals. The first villager was extracted on Friday, followed by the others.
