A 5-year-old boy was hospitalized in critical condition after nearly drowning in a backyard pool during a family party at a home on Pine Nut Drive in Nottingham Township, Washington County. Pennsylvania State Police responded around 2:40 p.m. and found the child at the bottom of the in-ground pool. CPR was performed for nearly an hour both on-site and during transport to the hospital, complicated by the child's critical state.
