HOUSTON — Houston police are searching for a second burglary suspect after one man was fatally shot by neighbors during a confrontation following a break-in at a home in the Alief area. Two men initially broke into the unoccupied residence of an elderly woman in the morning. A family member, alerted by the security system, contacted authorities. The suspects left before police arrived but returned later to steal more items. When the alarm went off again, a neighbor was notified. Two brothers pursued the suspects, catching up near a cul-de-sac. During the confrontation, one brother shot a suspect, who then jumped over a fence and was found dead.
