HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- Over a year after a hit-and-run killed 78-year-old Jerald Wayne Skaines in the Waller area, the Harris County Sheriff's Office is seeking public assistance for information leading to an arrest. The incident occurred on the night of May 23, 2025, on Old Washington Road, where Skaines was walking and was struck by a driver who then fled the scene. First responders found him with no signs of life. The vehicle of interest is a Dodge Ram pickup truck from 1994 to 2001.
