A 36-year-old man was arrested at Pike Place Market after allegedly attempting to take a stroller with a child inside. Police responded to the scene following a woman's report that the man tried to grab the stroller while commenting on the child's appearance. After she kicked him away and sought refuge in a store with her son, her husband confronted the suspect, who left before police arrived. The suspect claimed he believed the child was being abused and denied attempting to take the stroller. He was charged with attempted kidnapping and bail was set at $100,000.
