Last month, the Manhattan Institute conducted focus groups in Los Angeles to gauge voter sentiment ahead of the upcoming elections. One group included nine registered Democrats, while the other comprised ten voters with no party affiliation, reflecting diverse ages, races, and occupations. Participants generally rated city officials poorly, citing frustrations regarding the cost of living, high taxes, crime, and homelessness. Rather than advocating for reduced government size or emphasizing public safety, they felt public funds were misallocated and advocated for increased compassion toward the homeless. As Jesse Arm and Christopher F. Rufo noted, voters are disillusioned with the current trajectory and are seeking alternative solutions. #ManhattanInstitute #JesseArm #ChristopherRufo #Democrats #Republicans #GOP #RINOs #Independents #Taxes #Crime #Homelessness #BirthRightTourism #chuckpointwalker #tonto #monk #rangerrick #chad https://www.city-journal.org/article/la-voters-candidates-homelessness-crime-cost?utm_source=virtuous&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=cjdaily&vcrmeid=NxQQCe2pVECyqv52K6PQA&vcrmiid=Os4d1nrKsE218NCTNZmHTw
