I was on page 516 of the H.G. Wells book, The Outline of History. I've been reading this book, publish in or around 1920 for the first time I think, since like November of 2021 or December 2021 at the latest. This is not really directly related to Sunday School which was in Ephesians 4. We spend a week or so going over a chapter of any given book of the Bible. Diane Arnold talked about how we live to learn. If we are done learning, then God will or may take us home. I'm trying not to put words in her mouth, but I wonder if God kills people. My belief would be no. We can look at what the Bible might say about whether or not God hardened Pharaoh's heart and what that may mean. We can look at the book of Job for example. There are a number of things just in 66 books of the Christian version of the Bible, not to mention other things found in history and other books not included. I want to believe that life is not just about learning but about passing things on. We can always learn. So, in that sense, we would never die. I'm trying to briefly outline the debates right here. I'm trying hard not to get too into the details relating to some of the things I'm mentioning here regarding freewill versus destiny, fate, predestination, etc. Calvinism. Lutheranism.
