Federal prosecutors in Los Angeles identified 12 additional NGOs that are allegedly misusing tens of billions of tax dollars meant to help homeless people. Can you Say Money Laundering to help Pay for All of the Illegals Free Everything "BullSchiff"? #cali First Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli has launched investigations into the nonprofits. This comes on the heels of the high-profile case of Alexander Soofer, the executive director of the South Los Angeles charity Abundant Blessings. #homeless Soofer was arrested and charged with wire fraud for allegedly stealing more than $23 million in public homeless housing funds between 2018 and 2025. He pocketed at least $10 million for personal luxuries while providing substandard services to the homeless. According to the federal criminal complaint, 🔺️Soofer contracted with the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) to house and feed hundreds of homeless people across multiple sites in South Los Angeles. 🔺️He received over $5 million directly from LAHSA and another $17 million through another nonprofit, Special Service for Groups Inc. 🔺️Instead of helping the homeless, investigators say Soofer stole the money. 🔺️He bought a $7 million mansion in Westwood with upgrades, a $125,000 Range Rover, private school tuition for his kids, private jet trips, stays at luxury resorts from Hawaii to Florida, and sent $475,000 to buy a vacation property in Greece. 🔺️He fabricated invoices, used fake board members, and lied to cover his tracks - while feeding the homeless ramen noodles, canned beans, and breakfast bars. Essayli has now flagged 12 more NGOs for schemes involving the state’s massive homeless spending, which totals around $24 billion in recent years with homelessness increasing over that time. Essayli says the NGOs use the same tactics: Multiple contracts, fake documentation, self-dealing through inflated rents and vendor payments to shell entities. Nonprofit organizations, which include hospitals, universities, and charities, have amassed $14.2 trillion in assets - which is about half the national debt. Republicans, slam this as systemic abuse enabled by Democratic rule in California. Rep. Tim Burchett and DOGE efforts pushed for audits, clawbacks, and reforms to stop taxpayer money from lining pockets. They point to California’s failure despite massive spending as proof that more government cash without transparency just fuels corruption, not solutions. The facts show homelessness worsens in high-spending blue cities despite the cash flow. Essayli saying “California is the poster child of rampant fraud, waste, and abuse of tax dollars. The state has facilitated the spending of billions of dollars to combat homelessness, with little to show for it and almost no oversight.” #ChristinaAguayoNews Bring back "Public Hangings" on the Whitehouse Lawn for Treason.
