#new Senator Thom Tillis admitted that he opposes President Trump and the GOP agenda. The lame-duck senator said he will spend his remaining time in office to block everything the President wants. #DC Tillis is not running for re-election in 2026, after President Trump endorsed Michael Whatley to replace him. The same type of anti-Trump behavior is coming from three other Republican Senators in Bill Cassidy, and John Cornyn with critics saying Senate Majority leader John Thune is doing the same thing, he's just not openly admitting it. Tillis announced last summer that he would run for a third term after clashing with Trump over the “One Big Beautiful Bill” Tillis opposed the bill, saying it would hurt Medicaid funding and hospitals in North Carolina, which expanded Medicaid under Democrat leadership and added over 600,000 people to the rolls. Massive medicaid fraud continues to be discovered in states across the nation. Since becoming a lame duck, Tillis has publicly criticized Trump’s advisers like Stephen Miller, called certain Trump proposals “stupid on stilts,” and threatened to block nominees who say they support January 6 defendants or pushed for America First policies. He is openly working together with other establishment Republicans like Cassidy, Cornyn, and Thune to oppose and slow down President Trump’s America First agenda.
