The fact that a very high % of those who have died (or become critically ill) having underlying health problems/comorbidities ought to serve as a WAKE-UP CALL to all ppl who have these underlying problems - most of which are preventable. GA is the only state I've found so far that provides data on both age & comorbidity/underlying health problems of those who have died https://dph.georgia.gov/covid-19-daily-status-report The middle GA county where I live reports as of today, 36 "confirmed cases" (don't know how many are hospitalized) & 1 death - this 1 was a 96yo woman w/ underlying health problems. GA population estimated for 2020 at 10.74 Million: Total Tested for Covid-19 = 26294, or 0.24% of total population Confirmed positive = 6160 or 0.0057% of total population Hospitalized; they are sick enough to need it = 1239 or 0.0012% of total population Died w/ (not necessarily from) Covid-19 = 201 or 0.00019% of total population The remainder of the 26093 who tested Positive (subtracting the deaths noted above), are mildly/moderately ill at most = 26093 ppl or 0.24% of TOTAL GA Population. How many get ill from seasonal flu?? Check your own state for age & health of hospitalizations & deaths - if you can even find state Dpt of Health providing.... AND complain loudly if that Health Department is NOT providing this info. Also check the total population of your location too!
