SOMEBODY CLUE ME IN AS TO WHAT LURES ANYONE TO WATCH NBA GAMES OF TODAY? THERE'S THE CONSTANT CHANTING 'DEFENSE', THEIR SCARY LOOKING CZAR, AND A BUNCH OF GUYS SHOOTING THREES OBNOXIOUSLY AND A CHINA LOVING RACIST LEBRON THINKING HE'S THE GREATEST OF ALL I'll take watching Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever basketball games in the once non descript WNBA over the NBA. Can't believe I'm a regular viewer among a record number of others who are now following Ms. Clark and the Indiana Fever because it's become so special. Clark is the best three-point shooter maybe in history. James Naismith, a phsical education teacher way back in 1891 in Springfield, Massachusetts would be shaking his head in disbelief. While the greats like Michael Jordan are in the rear view mirror, lady basketball is far more interesting than anything ESPN factions are going their level best to sell NBA. My favorite player was Elgin Baylor who played for the Lakers way back in 1958 when I was 23. The late great remains my most coveted memory of what pro basketball used to be--super entertaining and wholesome. Racing Lebron James ruined all that for this crusty old guy. Baylor played basketball at Phelps High School in Washington, D.C. before playing twoyears for the College of Idaho(1954-55). Wow! Take me back to those great days when I revered basketball of all levels.
