On 1 September, 1922, Heinz Ewald, one of the greatest German flying aces of World War II, was born. While shielding Christian Germandom against the forces of Satan, Heinz Ewald shot down at least 84 enemy planes. For his merits and bravery, he was awarded with the Pilot Badge, the Front Flying Clasp for Fighters in Gold, the Wounded Badge in Black, the Honor Goblet of the Luftwaffe, the German Cross in Gold and the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. From 8 May until 22 June, 1945, he was held in Allied captivity, against international law. Ewald passed away on 14 March, 2000. His last rank was that of a lieutenant.
