The migrants don't have a clue how tough the Darien Gap is. The promoters in their countries gloss it over as a short walk in a park. Many die, the jungle disposes of the evidence. A body in a river is croc food, on land, jaguars, vultures and insects do the work. No trace remains in a week. Maybe bones way back under the triple canopy, but who is looking?
