Ireland: WHY Is This Galway Rape Case So Hard to Find?? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fUjh2yU29q4 Two men are before the courts accused of rape and false imprisonment following an alleged attack at Galway’s Ceannt railway station. But one small detail in the original court report suddenly sent this story racing across social media: proceedings required the assistance of an ARABIC INTERPRETER. And then things started getting curious. As interest in the case grew, the original written coverage became remarkably difficult to find, national reporting appeared surprisingly thin, and claims began circulating that discussions of the case were also being removed from Galway forums. Does that prove somebody is deliberately trying to bury the story? No — and I don’t claim that it does. But when a serious court case suddenly becomes harder to research just as one politically awkward detail catches the public’s attention, surely ordinary people are entitled to raise an eyebrow. In this video I look at the case, the strange media trail surrounding it, the Arabic interpreter detail, and the wider backdrop of Galway — a city whose political establishment has enthusiastically promoted multiculturalism, diversity and its vision of the “New Ireland”. Nothing changed except what people noticed.
