A US NGO Shuttled Research Plans to China. UNC Chapel Hill Expertise. Human Beta Coronavirus. Bat Spike Protein Sequences. ACE2 Receptor Binding. Published in 2015. This is not a theory. It is a 2015 peer-reviewed publication. A UNC Chapel Hill coronavirus expert collaborated with Chinese researchers through an NGO intermediary. They took a human beta coronavirus and modified its spike protein with bat coronavirus sequences — enabling it to bind to human ACE2 receptors. The paper was published. The mechanism was documented. And the virus that eventually caused the pandemic used exactly that mechanism to infect the human body.
